C.P. - University of Calgary Student
"I started university in the fall of 2020 and at the time my writing skills were not suitable for a university level. At the beginning of my journey with Lindsay we had to sit down, write an outline, pick out quotes to integrate into my paper and develop transition sentences together. Not only has working with Lindsay improved my writing skills, but it has also boosted my confidence. I am now able to write papers with minimal assistance and obtain the grades that I desire. Lindsay has been a vital part of my success at university and I am so grateful to be able to work with her.
Lindsay is honoured to have worked with incredible clients who are working hard to make their indelible marks on the world. If you need help with tutoring, grant writing, project coordination and beyond, please do not hesitate to be in touch.

"Lindsay has been tutoring my children for six years now. The improvement in reading comprehension and writing are astounding (particularly for my not so motivated son). She makes lessons interesting and fun and keeps the kids totally engaged while guiding them thru the project. I would highly recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a positive boost to your child’s confidence and knowledge.

Our son was really struggling with reading, comprehension and sight words, so we were desperate for some expert advice. Lindsay came to our home for a consultation to find out what kind of activities we were looking for. She put together a binder full of educational activities and games that are engaging, fun and creative ways of teaching our son without it feeling like work for him or us. Lindsay was very engaged with our son during the meeting and we are very confident in her abilities as a teacher/consultant.

"Lindsay's Tutoring is the BEST!! Lindsay worked with both of my high school aged boys who are on the spectrum. With her special education background she was able to breakdown assignments into "doable" chunks. She also communicated their challenges with their teachers which allowed modifications to be made.

"Lindsay has been working with our family for the past eight years. All three of my children have had their marks in both English and Social Studies improve by 10 to 15% respectively. Our eldest son has improved his SAT English mark by 100 points.
Lindsay is incredibly knowledgeable in her field, approaches each session with my child based on what he or she are struggling with, and teaches each child differently. She is reliable and will often work with my children remotely providing essay review and guidance as needed outside of their normal tutoring time.
With Lindsay's support and teaching, my children have found confidence in their writing skills and hugely improved their reading comprehension. My children will tell you how absolutely wonderful she is to work with. We are very grateful to have the opportunity to work with Lindsay.

“It is my privilege to provide this reference for Lindsay Flynn, who my son and I met in the summer of 2020. For a number of reasons, the wise choice for my family was for my son to take advantage of the online learning option for the academic year of 2020-2021 when COVID was still in its early days. As I worked full-time, it was clear that I would need some assistance to support my son in this format, especially as he has mild ADD. This is how we met Lindsay: she responded to my add for a tutor on kijiji and after meeting her it was clear she was the best possible person to tutor my son.
Lindsay is a gifted teacher. She was able to clearly explain concepts in multiple ways to ensure that my son understood them and could apply them. Beyond explaining them, she was able to find ways to make the learning hands-on and fun, to bring the subject matter to life, and to connect it to my son’s areas of interest. She encouraged and drew out my son’s creativity and skills, building his confidence and most importantly, earning his trust. Lindsay has an engaging and warm personality that shines through, making her easy for people of all ages to connect with her. Under her tutelage, my son improved academically and developed skills that work for him and what he needs to learn. Her experience working with neurodiverse learners was evident and she was able to see my child’s potential, customize learning in ways that worked best for him, and instilled confidence and independence. When my son returned to in-class learning in the fall of 2021, he was able to move back into that setting seamlessly and ready for the Grade 6 curriculum.
Lindsay is a consummate professional. She arrived at our house on time, fully prepared to teach and support my son. If she or her family were ill or had been in contact with someone who was COVID positive she shared this with me promptly so we could make a plan to keep everyone safe. As we split the week supporting my child at school, she always caught me up on what had been learned on the days she was there, giving me tips to help me tutor, and where my son was doing well and where he needed additional reinforcement. Her support was invaluable for me to ensure my child’s education was staying at the appropriate level.
I have the highest opinion of and regard for Lindsay’s skills and qualifications as a teacher. Any employer would be extremely fortunate to have her talents, energy, and dedication to educating children brought to their organization. Lindsay teaches because she loves to…and that makes all the difference. If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. It will be my pleasure to speak further about Lindsay with you at any time.
