Tutoring  | Private Teaching

Lindsay offers custom, personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions. After meeting to get to know the client’s needs, Lindsay will curate engaging lessons that focus on the desired area(s). This could be an area where the student is struggling or one where they wish to deepen their understanding and improve their grades. These lessons will align with the Alberta Education Program of Studies. Lindsay’s areas of specialty are elementary reading and writing and upper level English.

ESL 

Lindsay is also certified to teach ESL to both children and adults. Sessions will be planned according to the client’s wishes. This could include grammar, writing, conversation or a combination of areas. This work can take place in a group or one-on-one. 

 

SAT | University Entrance Packages

If your child is thinking about attending college or university in the United States, Lindsay can help them get ready to write their SAT. She will work through practice tests with the student, identify areas of difficulty and tailor extra practice to address these areas. She will also provide tips and tricks for breaking down the questions, selecting the best answers and working within the strict time constraints of the test.

 

Many University entrance packages require an essay. Let Lindsay help your child express themselves and give the admissions team a true understanding of who they are. She will help the student outline the essay, edit it at each draft stage and ensure they have addressed all of the criteria in a way that will make them stand out. 

 

All of the above options can take place in the comfort of your own home, in a mutually agreed upon public location or online via Zoom.
